I like writing.  In fact, it might be said that I love writing, what with my rather focused education on the English language.  Both Leslie and I have been writing for sometime, and I can definitively say it is something neither of us will be giving up any time soon. 

But writing isn’t what Uptown Uncorked is about.  Over the last few days, Leslie and I have fielded many calls with generous offers from various employers offering us writing positions.  I suspect the flood of calls, many of which pertain to writing gigs, is stemming from the Washington Post article featured this past Sunday in the business section in which I’m pictured holding a laptop far too close to my face and propping up a tree with my body in the vast white emptiness.  

At Uptown Uncorked, our primary focus is on training, instructing and working with businesses and brands to help them create a presence, be personal, and reach success through the use of social media and other web tools on the internet.  We write here at UptownUncorked.com because social media, web 2.0, technology and gadgetry are our passion.  

So as much as the offers for writing gigs are appreciated, we aren’t at this time looking to do freelance writing work for anyone.  We certainly know a lot of qualified folks who are looking for such gigs, but that isn’t us.  If you want to chat with either of us about what we do at Uptown Uncorked or to discuss taking yourself, your business or your brand to new levels of success, we’re ready and waiting!
