Since I also do a lot of work with the music industry and social media through Uptown Uncorked, I get quite a bit of music sent to me to listen to via Twitter, FaceBook, MySpace, YouTube and more social channels. I also watch my Twitter stream carefully for what the people I connect with listen to so that I can discover new music. In spite of the business nature of the site, I’ve decided to go ahead and use the platform to highlight the Twitter-local music I find so that you can enjoy it too.

The Social Mic category is all about local music and social media. Look for a new feature, written as I find new things, called Twitter Tunes.
